I painted this from a photo taken by Tim Horn in his plein air workshop in Sedona, AZ. It was a rainy day in Sedona so we painted in the studio at the Sedona Art Center. The photo resonated with me because I remember the scene from years ago when I took the mail boat from Port Clyde to Monhegan Island, Maine to visit my parents who were living on the island at the time.
